Au coeur d’Angeles, aux Philippines, la famille Pineda a élu domicile dans un vieux cinéma qu’elle exploite et qui projette des films érotiques des années 70. La matriarche Nanay Flor, sa fille Nayda, son beau-fils Lando et sa fille adoptive Jewel, se partagent la caisse et la vente de confiserie. L’un de ses neveux, Alan, peint les affiches, et l’autre, Ronald, est projectionniste.[1]
